Background[]
On March 26, 2024, United Japan Pro-Wrestling announced the event, with All Together being the first event of UJPW, featuring DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT), Pro Wrestling Noah (Noah), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) Dragon Gate (DG), Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) and World Wonder Ring Stardom (Stardom), with a portion of the proceeds from the event being given to the regions of the earthquake that hit the Noto peninsula on the north coast of Japan on January 1, 2024. It was announced that the event would be streamed on ABEMA as pay-per-view in English and Japanese. Aditionally, UJPW announced another event taking place on June 15, in Sapporo that would focus on the members promotions that were unable to participate at All Together.
NJPW, Noah and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) had previously held three events in response to the March 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The first event was held in Tokyo on August 27, 2011, and the second in Sendai on February 19, 2012. All proceeds from the events were donated to Japanese Red Cross. A third event was held on June 9, 2023, as a memorial to Antonio Inoki who had died the previous year. Menawhile, UJPW was formed to maintain healthy competition among the professional industry in Japan, as well as a space for exchanging opinions and information regarding common issues within the professional wrestling industry such as COVID-19, which affected various promotions in Japan.
On April 30, NJPW announced that SANADA would miss the event, due to a medical appraisal. SANADA had previously been pulled out of two nights of the Road to Wrestling Dontaku tour, before the decision was made.
Storylines[]
All Together featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portrayed villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.
On April 22, 2024, Jake Lee made a surprise debut for NJPW by interfering and helping Drilla Moloney defeat Tetsuya Naito, as part of a match series between Bullet Club War Dogs and Los Ingobernables de Japón (L.I.J.). Afterwards, Bullet Club leader David Finlay, announced that Lee would team with Bullet Club War Dogs against Naito's L.I.J in a five-on-five tag team elimination match on April 27, which Bullet Club War Dogs lost, after Lee was eliminated by Naito. Afterwards, Lee challenged Naito to a match anytime, anywhere. The match between Bullet Club War Dogs and L.I.J was announced on April 30.
