Chris Bey (born February 13, 1996) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling (IMPACT), where he is a former one-time Impact World Tag Team Champion and a former one-time Impact X Division Champion. As part of a working relationship between IMPACT and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), he also appears in the promotion, where he is a member of the Bullet Club.
Professional wrestling career[]
Early Career[]
In late 2017, Bey would start wrestling for PCW Ultra and in his debut match, he defeated Adrian Quest. Then a month later on October 6, he would defeat Hammerstone before going on a three match losing streak in the promotion. During his brief losing streak, Bey would lose to the likes of Jake Atlas and ACH.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling (2020–present)[]
On November 2, 2020, Bey was announced for New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Super J-Cup tournament. On December 12, Bey defeated Clark Connors in the first round of the tournament but ultimately failed to defeat eventual runner up ACH in the semifinals.
As part of NJPW's working relationship with Impact Wrestling, on July 17, Jay White made his debut for the promotion at Slammiversary, confronting former Bullet Club members Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson and Kenny Omega. Afterwards, at backstage, White revealed that he had been recruiting new members to the stable, with Bey seemingly refusing White’s invitation, despite reflecting on a later decision. Bey would continue to allign himself with White, before being accepted to the stable by him, after defeating Juice Robinson with White's interference, becoming Bullet Club's first African American member on August 8.
Later in September, in Impact Wrestling, Bullet Club began feuding with former Bullet Club members The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson), during a title match for the Impact World Tag Team Championship, between Bey and Hikuleo, David Finlay and Juice Robinson and The Good Brothers, after Anderson stole a pin on Bey that allowed for The Good Brothers to retain the titles. On the November 4 episode of Impact!, Bey, Hikuleo, and Phantasmo interfered in a title match between FinJuice and The Good Brothers, causing them match to end in a no contest. The following week on Impact!, Bey and Phantasmo won a number one contender's match, which was won by Bullet Club to the Impact World Tag Team Championship. On November 20 at Impact's Turning Point, Bey and Hikuleo unsucessfully challenged The Good Brothers for the Impact World Tag Team Championship.
On the January 27 episode of Impact!, the Guerrillas of Destiny made their Impact Wrestling debut attacking Jake Something and Mike Bailey alongside Bey and White, before challenging The Good Brothers to a title match for the Impact World Tag Team Championship. Afterwards, Bullet Club began feuding with Violent By Design, after The Good Brothers seeked their assistance to deal with Bullet Club. The following week on Impact!, White, Bey, Tonga, and Loa were attacked by The Good Brothers and Violent By Design, builting up to two matches at No Surrender. At the event on February 19, White defeated Violent By Design's leader Eric Young. Later that night, The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) successfully retained the Impact World Tag Team Championship against the Guerillas of Destiny after they were betrayed by White. Subsequently, the Guerillas of Destiny were kicked out of Bullet Club and White reinstated The Good Brothers as members for the first time in nearly a decade.
On the June 20th episdoe of Impact!, Bey and the recently joined Ace Austin defeated Alex Zayne with the Bey helping Austin to win the match. Afterwards, both Bey and Austin began forming a tag team, representing Bullet Club in Impact Wrestling. In November, Bey made his first Japanese appearance in NJPW, taking part in the 2022 Super Jr. Tag League alongside Austin. Both finished the tournament with a record seven wins and two losses, advancing to the finals. On December 14, Bey and Austin were defeated by Lio Rush and Yoh in the finals.
On September 26, 2024, Bullet Club leader David Finlay, who had previously disavowed other sub-groups within Bullet Club in the past, expelled Austin and Bey from the stable.
