Dangerous Tekkers (デンジャラス・テッカーズ, Denjarasu Tekkāzu) was a professional wrestling tag team formed by Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr., where they work for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), as part of the Suzuki-gun stable.

The team was formed in November 2018, after Taichi and Sabre were selected to represent Suzuki-gun in the 2018 World Tag League. The team initially did not achieve much success, as Taichi and Sabre foccused on their singles career, before winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship in July 2020. They would held the IWGP Tag Team Championship on two different occasions, leading Tokyo Sports to award them the 2021 Tag Team of the Year Award. Their team disbanded in December 2022, following the dissolution of Suzuki-gun.

History[]

As part of Suzuki-gun, Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr. formed a tag team named "Dangerous Tekkers". From November 17 until December 7, Taichi and Sabre took part in the 2018 World Tag League, finishing the tournament with a record of seven wins and six losses, failing to advance to the finals.

On January 4, 2019, at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in Tokyo Dome, Sabre defeated Tomohiro Ishii to win the British Heavyweight Championship. On May 4, 2019, on the first night of Wrestling Dontaku, Taichi defeated Jeff Cobb to win the NEVER Openweight Championship, before losing it to Tomohiro Ishii on June 9 at Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-jo Hall. From July 13 until August 11, Dangerous Tekkers took part in the 2019 G1 Climax, wrestling in seperate blocks. Both finished the tournament with a record of four wins and five losses, failing to advance to the finals of the tournament. On August 31 at Royal Quest, Sabre lost the British Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi, only to regain it on September 15 at Destruction in Beppu. From November 16 until December 8, Dangerous Tekkers took part in the 2019 World Tag League, failing to win the tournament with a record of ten wins and five losses. On February 14, 2020, at Revolution Pro Wrestling's High Stakes, Sabre lost the British Heavyweight Championship to Will Ospreay.

On June 16, Dangerous Tekkers teamed with their Suzuki-gun stablemates Minoru Suzuki and Yoshinobu Kanemaru in a winning effort against Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Yuji Nagata and Yuya Uemura. Afterwards, Taichi and Sabre attacked Ibushi and posed with Tanahashi and Ibushi's IWGP Tag Team Championships. The following day, Sabre was defeated by Ibushi in the first round of the 2020 New Japan Cup. Later that night, Taichi defeated Tanahashi in the first round of the 2020 New Japan Cup. Afterwards, Taichi attacked Tanahashi, until Ibushi made the save. Taichi then attacked Ibushi with the help of his Suzuki-gun stablemate DOUKI. On July 1, Taichi eliminated Ibushi from the 2020 New Japan Cup in the second round. After the match, Taichi again posed with the IWGP Tag Team Championship belts, indicating a challenge to a title match. On July 12 at Dominion in Osaka-jo Hall, Dangerous Tekkers defeated Golden☆Ace (Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kota Ibushi) to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship. From September 19 until October 17, Taichi and Sabre took part in the 2020 G1 Climax, wrestling in seperate blocks. Both failed to advance to the finals, with Taichi finishing tied third and Sabre tied second in his block of eleven. From November 15 until December 6, Sabre and Taichi took part in the 2020 World Tag League, finishing the tournament with a record of six wins and three losses, failling advance to the finals of the tournament, due to losing to FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) and the Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa) in their head-to-head match.

On January 4, 2021, on the first night of Wrestle Kingdom 15 in Tokyo Dome, Taichi and Sabre lost the IWGP Tag Team Championship to the Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa). They regained the titles from the Guerrillas of Destiny on June 1, before losing them to Los Ingobernables de Japón (Tetsuya Naito and SANADA) on July 11, only to regain them on July 24. From September 18 to October 20, Dangerous Tekkers took part in the 2021 G1 Climax with Sabre wrestling in block A and Taichi in block B. Both failed to advance from their blocks with Sabre finishing tied third in his block of ten and Taichi tied sixth in his block. From November 14 until December 12, Dangerous Tekkers took part in the 2021 World Tag League. After eight wins and three losses, Dangerous Tekkers were defeated in the final day of the tournament by Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi and thus were eliminated from the finals. On January 4, 2022, on the first night of Wrestle Kingdom 16, Dangerous Tekkers lost the IWGP Tag Team Championship to Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi.

On March 6, Sabre entered the 2022 New Japan Cup, defeating Ryohei Oiwa in his first round match. After defeating Suzuki-gun stablemate DOUKI in the second round on March 12, Sabre advance to the third round, defeating Great-O-Khan on March 17, and Will Opsreay in the quarterfinals on March 21. Sabre first defeated Shingo Takagi in the semifinals on March 26 and then Tetsuya Naito in the finals on March 27 to win the tournament and earn the right to challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, a feat that he accomplished twice with the same reigning champion. On April 9 at Hyper Battle, Taichi defeated Toru Yano in a No Rope Ringout match to become the provisional KOPW 2022 champion. He lost the title to Shingo Takagi in a 30 Count match on April 25. From July 16 to August 16, Sabre and Taichi took part in the 2022 G1 Climax, wrestling in seperate blocks. Both failed to advance from their blocks with Sabre entering the final day with a chance to reach the semifinals, but a loss against Tetsuya Naito eliminated him from the tournament. On December 14, Minoru Suzuki announced that Suzuki-gun would disband by the end of the year. On December 23, Suzuki-gun had their final match, with every Suzuki-gun member hoisting the Suzuki-gun banner and posing one last time, with Dangerous Tekkers being also disbanded.
