Dead or Alive (2012) was a professional wrestling event promoted by Dragon Gate. The event took place on May 6 2012, in Aichi at the Aichi Prefectural Gym and was the fifth annual event under the Dead or Alive.

The day 1 featured 6 matches with two of Dragon Gate's fift championships on the line and the second day featured also 6 matches with four of Dragon Gate's fift championships on the line. The main event of day saw CIMA defeating Cyber Kong for the Open The Dream Gate Championship. Other top matches included Dragon Kid defeating Ricochet to become the Open The Brave Gate Championship and Jimmy Kagetora and Jimmy Susumu defending the Open The Twin Gate Championship against Team Veteran Returns (Masaaki Mochizuki and Don Fujii). All in all, the events featured two title changes.

Storylines[]

On April 7 Cyber Kong won the CIMA Royale and he won the right to face CIMA for the Open The Dream Gate Championship at the Dead or Alive also Dragon Kid challenged Ricochet for the Open The Brave Gate Championship. On April 22 Naruki Doi declared World-1 International the #1 contenders for the Open The Triangle Gate Championship and Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!! of Jimmyz accepted their challenge. On May 5 the match between Cyber Kong and CIMA was made official at the Dead or Alive when the two signed a contract.
