Demolition Stage (2023) was a professional wrestling event promoted by Pro Wrestling Noah (Noah). Noah produced two events under the Demolition Stage name; Demolition Stage in Fukuoka on October 28 and Demolition Stage in Niigata on November 4. The event aired on CyberAgent's AbemaTV online linear television service and CyberFight's streaming service Wrestle Universe.

Storylines[]

The Demolition Stage shows featured professional wrestling matches, each of which involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

Jake Lee2

Jake Lee, who defended the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kenoh.

Demolition Stage in Kobe was headlined by Jake Lee making his fifth defense of the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kenoh. On September 24 at Grand Ship In Nagoya, Lee successfully defended the title for the fourth time against 2023 N-1 Victory winner Go Shiozaki. After the match, Lee challenged Kenoh to a rematch for his title, after he was the one of ended his undefeated streak in Noah, during their match in the 2023 N-1 Victory, which proved to be deciding factor, to decide one of the finalysts of the N-1 Victory. On October 20, Kenoh attacked Lee after their match, posing with GHC Heavyweight Championship belt, before returning the favour on October 23. Leading to the event, Noah held a poll for the fans to decide who they thought would win out of Jake Lee and Kenoh for the event. Overwhelmingly, the result was 31 to 6 in Kenoh's favor. There was also the possibility of a champion vs. champion match against New Japan Pro-Wrestling's IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA in a double title match.

At Grand Ship In Nagoya, after El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. successfully defended the GHC National Championship against Psycho Clown, Jack Morris challenged Wagner to a title match, with their match being set for Demolition Stage in Fukuoka. Wagner had previously defended the title against Morris on April 16 at Green Journey in Sendai. On October 20, Wagner pinned Morris in a tag team match, using his finishing move the Tiger Driver.

Ever since losing the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, Good Looking Guys (Tadasuke and YO-HEY) hinted that they wanted a rematch for the titles. On October 9, YO-HEY scored a direct pinfall over one-half of the reigning champions Dragón Bane in a three-way tag team match. Afterwards, YO-HEY challenged Los Golpeadores to a title match, setting up the match at Demolition Stage in Fukuoka.

On September 26, in a press release, it was announced that Katsuhiko Nakajima would be terminating his contract with the promotion at the end of September, with his last match being at Demolition Stage in Fukuoka.

HAYATA2023

HAYATA, who defended the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship.

Also at Grand Ship In Nagoya, after HAYATA retained the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship against Seiki Yoshioka, he was attacked by Daga, setting up the title match at Demolition Stage in Niigata. DAGA had previously hinted that he would challenge HAYATA to a title match, when the time was right.

On October 14, Kaito Kiyomiya and Ryohei Oiwa defeated one half of reigning the GHC Tag Team Champions Anthony Greene and LJ Cleary. Kiyomiya scored the pinfall victory over Greene and afterwards announced that him and Oiwa wanted to challenge Greene and Jack Morris to a title match for the GHC Tag Team Championship, setting up the title match at Demolition Stage in Niigata. Oiwa and Kiyomiya had hinted that they wanted to challenge for the GHC Tag Team Championship, upon Oiwa's excursion in Pro Wrestling Noah.
