The Early Christmas Tag_Team Tournament (アーリークリスマス・タッグトーナメント Ārīkurisumasu taggutōnamento) was a single-elimination tag team tournament held in Dragon Gate to determine the strongest team in the promotion for the year. The winners of the tournament will be the #1 contender for the Open The Twin Gate Championship.

Announced competitors[]
On November 15, 2017 Dragon Gate announced a tag team tournament named Early Christmas Tag Team Tournament. Also, it was the dates for the tournament were announced to be on December 1,2 and 3 and the participants for the tournament. The tournament will feature two unaffiliated, two teams from VerserK, MaxiMuM and Tribe Vanguard and the format of the tournament would be a single-elimination format. The tournament was to replace this year's Summer Adventure Tag League due to Unit Warfare that led to the 5 Units Survival Race in the August series.
