The G1 Special is a professional wrestling event promoted by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), the event was held since 2017 and aired domestically as an international pay-per-view (iPPV). The event's name refers to the annual G1 Climax tournament as these shows also served as a prelude to the year's G1 Climax tournament. Following in 2019, the event was changed into the G1 Supercard event.
