Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling (プロレスリングガトームーブ/Puroresuringugatōmūbu in Japanese, กาโตห์ มูฟ/Kā tow̒ mūf in Thai) is a Japanese joshi puroresu or women's professional wrestling promotion, founded by Emi Sakura was formerly based in Bangkok, Thailand following the Sakura's departure from Ice Ribbon. Also described an idle unit "Gatoh Move". The promotion is currently based in Tokyo, Japan.

History

2012

On February 12, 2012 Emi Sakura appeared at a JWP Joshi Puroresu event, where she announced that she was going to start another Ice Ribbon-like promotion in Bangkok, Thailand. Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama then agreed to a match, where, if Sakura was victorious, Yoneyama would join her in Thailand, but if Yoneyama was victorious, Sakura would make JWP her new home promotion in Japan.[1][2] Sakura officially established the Bangkok Girls Pro Wrestling (BKK Pro) promotion the following week.[3] The promotion was renamed to Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling. On May 16 the promotion held their first event.[4] Sakura was assisted by Yoneyama and male wrestler Madoka in training wrestlers for the new promotion.[5] On June 4 the japanese promotion LLPW-X held a tour in Thailand were they participated in the cultural exchange event. Four days later it was held the 2012 Wrestling Expo were they particated in. Ten days later they held a show that was Gatoh meet know as Gatomi at the Nanhai Memorial Clinic it featured wrestlers from Gatoh Move but they had to change the date due to financial difficulties. Ayako Ishida that is part of the NEO women's wrestling served as a ring announcer at the event. On July 4 Gatoh Move debuted the wrestlers of Ken-chan. On the next day Gatoh Move offerd a match at a Exit Pro Wrestling Underground event. On August 15 they held their fist tournament Gath Nun Climax in Thai means (Number 1) and it was held the very same time that the NJPW G1 Climax. On September 1, Riho announced that she was quitting Ice Ribbon after the September 23 Korakuen Hall event to reunite with Emi Sakura, who had left the promotion in the beginning of the year.[6][7] On September 6 the held a show at Bangkok at the Sakura dojo's where it featured a match between Madoka, Masa Takanashi and Hoshitango and Cherry asked to be a coach and it featured the debut of two male wrestlers Golem Thailandand and EK buggy. On September 21 it was announced a tour in Japan named Gatoh-Move Japan Tour and the tour was going to be in October. On September 23 at Ribbon no Kishitachi 2012, Riho was defeated by Aoi Kizuki in her Ice Ribbon farewell match[8][9][10] On September 27 it was held the annual meeting at the Sakura dojo nd it also featured debut of two joshi. One day later Madoka returned and completed his one-month period coaching. On October 7 it was held first day of the the Gatoh-Move Japan Tour were Sakura defeated Riho. On October 30 Gatoh Move lauched their first song named Song of the limit. On November 4 it was held a show on the Itabashi Green Hall were the original ring announcer of ice ribbon Kiyoshina served as ring announcer and also a ice ribbon original Miki Ishii participated at the show, the show featured 243 people watching the show. On November 10 Sakura made her first successful defense of the JWP Openweight Championship at Pro-Wrestling: EVE's Wrestle-Fever internet pay-per-view event in Sudbury, Suffolk, England defeating Kay Lee Ray.[11][12] On November 23 Gatoh Move held their last show at the Sakura dojo were they performed a 1 day show were Sakura defeated Ken-chan. On December 20, Sakura made her first successful defense of the Pro-Wrestling: EVE Championship, wrestling Hiroyo Matsumoto to a twenty-minute time limit draw at a Gatoh Move event in Itabashi, Tokyo.[13] Two days later the Thailand second organization of wrestling Thai Wrestling Federation were Ek Baki participated at the event. On December 30 Sakura "Birds" that was a trainee made his debut with Cherry.

2013

On January 6 Gatoh Move held show celebrating the New Year at the Ibashi Green Hall and it featured 156 people watching the show. On January 11 Gatoh Move held a tour celebrating the New Year Nakhon Pathom in the Way coffee and Bakery and it featured wrestler from the United Kingdom. Six days later Masa Takanashi participated in a event. On February 14 they opened their first shop on their web site. On February 23 Gatoh Move held a show at the Itabashi Green Hall tournament were it featured a series of matches of the trainee's "little bird". On March 23 Gatoh Move held a show at the Sportiva Arena named I go to Nagoya. On April 29 Gatoh Move offered a show at finals of the AJPW's Champion Carnival. On May 4 held the Green Hall Greenery Day" convention at the Itabashi Green Hall and they also held a 1 day Mixed Tag Tournament where Riho and Antonio Honda were the winners. On May 11 they held a show in Thailand and Japan at the same time were in Thailand it feature the debut of the trainee Bond and Sakura won the DJ Nira's challenge rights anytime, anywhere. On May 17 Obihiro and Sakura defeated Masa Takanashi and Tetsuya Endo with Obihiro capturing Endo's challenge rights anytime, anywhere. On June 2 at Dramatic Dream Team Obihiro and Sakura lost to Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi and Hirata Ichiki and Obihiro lost the challenge rights anytime, anywhere. On June 20 Gatoh Move debuted the first Thailand native female professional wrestler named Blue Lotus and Sakura served as his partner for his debut. On July 15 Sakura made her first successful defense of the AWF World Women's Championship against Kiyoko Ichiki in a Gatoh Move event.[14] On August 1 in a Pro Wrestling Heat Up event Sakura's second successful title defense when she defeated Welsh wrestler Pollyanna.[15] On August 14 it was held the second Gath Nun Climax where the prize were 100 baht. On August 28 Gatoh Move held a show at the Dotonbori Arena named "Do go! Osaka!". On September 5 the student Pollyanna returned to the promotion. On September 13 the promotion their first anniversary. On September 21 Gatoh Move held a show in Nagoya at the Sportiva Arena named I also go to Nagoya. On October 5 they held a show Sakura birth Festival. On October 10 Gatoh Move hed a show at the Shinkiba 1stRING where Blue Lotus and Riho defeated EK Buggy and DJ Nira and the masked man Sawasdee Kamen appeared at the show and Madoka defeated Guanchalo and Sakura competed in a three way match against Hiroshi Fukuda and Hal Miyako were Fukuda won the rights of the Song of the limit also Yoshihiro Takayama participated at the show. On December 27 at Gatoh Move's year-end event, Sakura lost the IWA Triple Crown to Antonio Honda.[16] Sakura regained the Triple Crown from Honda on January 25, 2014.[17]

2014

On January 4 Gatoh Move announced a new tournament named the Itabashi Tournament. The event featured the debut of a trainee. On January 12 Gatoh Move and LLPW-X Wrestling featured a event together. On January 25 Sakura regained the IWA Triple Crown Champion from Antonio Honda. On March 14 all the roster of Gatoh Move and Masa Takanashi announced a Fight Card. On April 2 named Spring of Sawasdee Car Tour and the was wrestlers visiting Japan and it was scheduled true of Japan Tour and the wrestlers were visiting Japan is Golem Thailand, P-Nutz, EK buggy and Blue Lotus. On May 14 Gatoh Move held a show at the Sakura's Dojo in thailand were Sakura faced Takanashi in a match and the trainee Kyushiro made her debut and she and P-Nutz defeated Takanashi and Fen Liu. On May 17 Gatoh Move held a tour in Japan the Gatoh-Move Japan Tour.107. Two days later Gatoh Move held a special show that featured the retirement of Natsuki where she teamed with Bird by defeating Sakura and Obihiro.

2015

On February 22, Makoto returned to Gatoh Move, where she picked up her first ever win over her trainer Emi Sakura in the first singles match between the two in three and a half years, after which she challenged Riho to a match for her IWA Triple Crown Championship.[18][19] On May 2 it featured the Mixed Tag Tournament were Madoka and MIZUKI. On August 10 Gatoh Move held another tour in Japan where it featured Thailand wrestler going to Japan. Three days later Gatoh Move featured their first show at the Korakuen Hall where Riho successfully defending the IWA Triple Crown Championship against "Kotori" and also Sakura celebrated her 20th anniversary in professional wrestling where she teamed with Makoto to defeat Hikaru Shida and Sayaka Obihiro in a tag team match.[20][21] On September 21, Riho lost the title to male wrestler DJ Nira in her fifth defense.[22] On December 22, Kaori Yoneyama defeated DJ Nira at Gatoh Move's year-end show to win the IWA Triple Crown Championship.[23]

2016

On January 1 Gatoh Move featured their first New Year's Day. On March 7 it Gatoh Move announed that they were going to intruduced their own tag team champions the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship. The goal of the belts is to see them defended not only in Japan, but in Thailand, Singapore, Malayasia, aja all throughout Asia. Sence the naming of the belts. The belts will also be contested without any weight restrictions (openweight) and the first champions will be crowned on March 24. On March 24 SAKI and MIZUKI defeated Emi Sakura and Masa Takanashi to become the first Asia Dream Tag Champions. On May 1 "Kotori" and Tamura won the Golden Move Go Go Green Curry Bone Meal Cup 2016 to recieved a chance for the Asia Dreams Tag Team Champions. On June 22, 2016, Gatoh Move held Riho's tenth anniversary event, which saw her defeat Kaori Yoneyama in the main event to regain the IWA Triple Crown Championship the event also featured apperances from Toru Owashi and TARU and the debut of the rookie Onizuka.[24]
