Green Journey in Sendai 2023 was a professional wrestling event promoted by CyberFight's sub-brand Pro Wrestling Noah (Noah). The event took place on April 16, 2023, in Sendai, Japan, at the Xebio Arena Sendai. The event aired on CyberAgent's AbemaTV online linear television service and CyberFight's streaming service Wrestle Universe.

Ten matches were contested at the event, including three on the pre-show, and all five of Noah's championships were on the line. The main event saw Jake Lee defeating Katsuhiko Nakajima to retain the GHC Heavyweight Championship. Other top matches included HAYATA defeating AMAKUSA to win the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship, Good Looking Guys (Tadasuke and YO-HEY) defeating Yoshinari Ogawa and Eita to win the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, and Takashi Sugiura and Shuhei Taniguchi defeating Masa Kitamiya and Daiki Inaba to win the GHC Tag Team Championship.

The Green Journey in Sendai 2023 was officially announced on January 8, 2023 at New Sunrise and Reboot. The event aired live on AbemaTV online linear television service and CyberFight's streaming service Wrestle Universe, with English commentary being provided by Mark Pickering and Stewart Fulton.

Storylines[]

The event featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portrayed villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.

Jake Lee2

Jake Lee, who defended the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Katsuhiko Nakajima.

The Green Journey in Sendai 2023 was main evented by Jake Lee defending the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Katsuhiko Nakajima. On March 19 at Great Voyage in Yokohama, after Lee defeated won the GHC Heavyweight Championship, Nakajima confronted Lee following the match, and challenged him to a title match at Green Journey in Sendai, which he accepted. This promoted a feud between Good Looking Guys and KONGOH, where on March 25, KONGOH defeated Good Looking Guys in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls six man tag team match. On March 27, KONGOH was defeated by GLG in the Captain's Fall match. On April 8, Lee and Nakajima faced off in a tag team match, where Lee scored a direct victory over Nakajima before their match.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., who defended the GHC National Championship.

At Great Voyage in Yokohama, Jack Morris pinned GHC National Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. during a tag team match. Afterwards, Morris won the right to challenge and made his challenge by simply motioning to the GHC National Championship belt before holding it over Wagner. On March 26, Morris pinned Wagner again in a six-man tag team match. On April 8, after Wagner pinned Morris in a tag team match. Following the match, Wagner attacked Morris after the match, and backstage told him that this was "just the beginning".

AMAKUSA

AMAKUSA, who defended the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship.

At March 26, event, after AMAKUSA successfully defended the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship, HAYATA challenged him to a title match, which AMAKUSA accepted, stating that he was eager to face him. On April 8, HAYATA pinned AMAKUSA. Afterwards, HAYATA silently stood over AMAKUSA and pointed to the belt, this followed by another loss to HAYATA in the following day.

KitamiyaInabaGHC

Masa Kitamiya and Daiki Inaba, who defended the GHC Tag Team Championship.

On March 24, Shuhei Taniguchi pinned Daiki Inaba in a six-man tag team match. Following the match, an apathetic Taniguchi and his partner Takashi Sugiura took it upon himself to train Taniguchi back up, which resulted in Taniguchi making a tag challenge to Inaba and Masa Kitamiya to a title match for the GHC Tag Team Championship. Kitamiya said that he was going to show Taniguchi that there was no future for him in the match. The following day, Kitamiya returned the favour and pinned Kitamiya in a six-man tag team match.

On March 26, Good Looking Guys (YO-HEY and Tadasuke) faced Stinger (Yoshinari Ogawa and HAYATA) in a winning effort. Afterwards, YO-HEY and Tadasuke held the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship belt over and made their challenge. On April 8, Eita faced YO-HEY in a winning effort. Afterwards, Tadasuke got into the ring, only to be attacked by Eita. The following day, YO-HEY and Tadasuke sarcastically folded up and handed him the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship belt.
