Wong Yuk Lun[Note 1] (born July 19, 1987), better known by his ring name Ho Ho Lun [Note 2], is a Chinese professional wrestler from Hong Kong. He is currently working full-time for the Japanese professional wrestling promotion Dragon Gate, where he works as a wrestler, as an English language color-comentator and as a producer.

Lun is best known for being the first Chinese wrestler to compete on a global scale (along with fellow Chinese wrestler, Jason Lee), with him having competed around the world, with him being very well known for his time in WWE, where he competed in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic tournament and on the NXT brand. Apart from his in-ring duties, Lun served also as an interpreter for Chinese wrestlers in WWE.

In the Chinese surname order, his surname is Ho not Lun; Although, in the west people misunderstood his surname as Lun.

Professional wrestling career[]

Early career[]

After being influenced by the stars of the WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Dragon Gate, Lun decided to pursue a career as a wrestler. Lun during his time traveling, he would by Wrestling DVDs from the United States, so he could watch in his free time.

Lun started training with the Chinese-based China Wrestling Entertainment promotion in 2007. At the time, Lun considered professional wrestling a hobby, he later considered taking professional wrestling as his main job, when he visited the United Kingdom in 2010. Lun's main priority with wrestling was more on a backstage role producer role in order to make a good show rather prusuing world championships, which Lun did not identify as his niche itself. Lun also cited his philosophy to expand and garner interest in professional wrestling, with him wishing to push and showcase young talent

Lun had the objective that he wanted to create opportunities for people like him, with him citing the growth of the Japanese Wrestling market in Asia and its difficulties due to the language barriers.

After leaving WWE in August 2017, Lun began offering offers to produce wrestling shows in fellow Chinese city and special administrative region, Macau, he began to solidify his purpose in professional wrestling, with him always prefering a backstage producer role, and showcase talent from other Asian countries, such as mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philipines, where he served as a consultant and Thailand. With Lun futher citing Singapore's audience, due to the language barrier not being an issue, and wrestlers as "some amazing talented wrestlers", with Lun setting Thailand as one of his future projects.

Dragon Gate (2018-Present)[]

Lun made his Dragon Gate debut at Super Wrestling in Autumn in 2018, where he served as regular member during Dragon Gate's events in Hong Kong. In October 2019, Lun made his Japanese debut, where he became a regular member of the promotion and began wrestling mostly for opening matches. In August 2020, he became a color comentator along with established Dragon Gate English main commentator, Jae Church. During this time, Lun became friends with Dragon Gate's popular Chinese character, Super Shenlong. Lun scored his first victory on December 16, with Lun defeating Punch Tominaga.

In the beginning of 2022, Lun was caught in an angle where, fellow Hong Kong wrestler, Jason Lee was being persuaded by Shun Skywalker to join Z-Brats, with Lun being attacked by Z-Brats for trying to convince Lee not to join them. Lee apparently turned heel by turning on Lun and joining Skywalker. However later that night, Lee's betrayal was revealed to be a hoax, after he turned on Skywalker and joined Natural Vibes instead, proclaiming that the three-way match was part of his plan to join them. On June 5, Lun, Lee, Jacky "Funky" Kamei and Super Shelong formed a stable known as the "Kung Fu Masters", with the unit's primary gimmick relying on their Chinese heritage and being only specific to Kobe, with Lee and Kamei continuing to be part Natural Vibes, while Lun and Shenlong being unafiliatted outside Kobe.
