The 2012 Ikkitousen ~ Strong Climb ~ took place from May 17 to July 26. [[Ryuichi Kawakami]] had to forfeit his fourth and fifth match due to being sidelined with a knee injury. The winner [[Yoshihito Sasaki]] after defeating Daisuke Sekimoto in the finals. Sasaki requested that BJW establish new championship that would symbolize the "strong" side of the promotion. This led to BJW announcing the creation of the [[BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship]] on April 14, 2012 this would let to Sasaki defeating Big van Walter in a decision match to become the first [[BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship|BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion]].

The Ikkitousen ~ Strong Climb ~ is an annual Round robin tournament held by Big Japan Pro Wrestling, established in 2012. The tournament symbolize one of the two sides of BJW; that is the strong style side tournment, The Deathmatch side have thier tounament the Ikkitousen Deathmatch Survivor.

The Ikkitousen ~ Strong Climb ~ adopts a points system, with two points for a win, one for a time expired draw, and, none for other draw or a loss. The tournament matches are held under the 30-minute time limit.

In the below results, (C) signifies the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion at the time of each tournament.

2014

The 2014 Ikkitousen ~ Strong Climb ~ took place from May 17 to July 26. On September 17 Shinya Ishikawa would vacate the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship due to retring from professional wrestling. On December 21 Shuji Ishikawa would beat Ryuichi Kawakami for the title.

The 2016 Ikkitousen ~ Strong Climb ~ took place from March 6 to April 10. On May 5 Ishikawa would unssuccesfuly challenged Yuji Okabayashi for the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship.
