Jin (陣 Jin, literally translated to "Team") was a professional wrestling stable in the Japanese promotion All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). The group was founded on December 21, 2019, by Jake Lee, Koji Iwamoto and Naoya Nomura.
Jin began adding new members since its formation, most notably 2AW's Ayato Yoshida and Pro Wrestling BASARA's Fuminori Abe. Other accomplishments attained by the stable include Lee and Iwamoto being the All Asia Tag Team Champions. The stable disbanded after Lee turned on Iwamoto and joined Enfants Terribles.
History[]
In April 2018, Jake Lee returned to All Japan Pro Wrestling, announcing that he was leaving Nextream. Following his return, Lee formed his own stable named Sweeper alongside Dylan James, Keiichi Sato, Koji Iwamoto and Ryoji Sai. Shortly after, Sweeper was joined by Naoya Nomura, who also left Nextream to join Sweeper.
In December 2019, following the 2019 World's Strongest Tag Determination League, Lee and Nomura decided to disband Sweeper, after feeling a lack of unity within the stable due to Sai teaming with Zeus in the tournament. On December 21, Lee, Nomura and Iwamoto announced the formation of a new stable called "Jin", literally translated to "Team". On January 18, Lee, Iwamoto and Fuminore Abe faced Evolution (Hikaru Sato, Suwama and Yusuke Okada in a winning effort. Afterwards, Lee and Iwamoto offered Abe a spot in Jin. Abe immediately accepted the offer, thus becoming the stable's fourth member. Meanwhile, Nomura had began a short feud with his "generational rival" Ayato Yoshida, leading on the following day, Nomura facing Yoshida faced each other in a match, which ended in a draw. Afterwards, Nomura impressed by Yoshida offered him a spot in Jin. Yoshida immediately accepted the offer, thus becoming the stable's fifth member. On March 23, Lee and Iwamoto lost the All Asia Tag Team Championship to Yankii Nichokenju (Isami Kodaka and Yuko Miyamoto). On July 25, Iwamoto defeated Susumu Yokosuka to win World Junior Heavyweight Championship. In September, Lee took part of the 2020 Champion Carnival, finishing the tournament with a record of three wins and one loss, failling to advance to the finals of the tournament. Lee entered the final day of the tournament to reach the finals, but a loss against Zeus, eliminated him from the tournament. From November 22 until December 7, Lee and Iwamoto took part in the 2020 World's Strongest Tag Determination League, finishing the tournament, with a record of four wins and three losses, failling to win the tournament, due to losing to Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi on the final day of the tournament.
On February 20, 2021, Iwamoto lost the World Junior Heavyweight Championship to CIMA. Three days later, Jin was disbanded after Lee turned on Iwamoto to join Enfants Terribles.
