The following year, Iwasaki took part in Kaientai Dojo's K-Metal League, finishing with two wins and four points. Iwasaki remained winless in all matches until January 8, 2016, when he defeated Mizuki Watase. Two days later, he took part in the biggest match of his career to date, losing to Dontonbori Pro Wrestling's Billyken Kid. On February 28, Iwasaki won his first title teaming with Shunma Katsumata and Kazusada Higuchi to defeat T2Hii (Kazuki HirataSanshiro Takagi and Toru Owashi) to win KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championships. They would lose the titles Soma Takao, Keisuke Ishii and Shigehiro Irie on May 15. On June 11, 2018 it was announced that DNA would be suspended, leading to Iwasaki being transferred to the DDT main roster. During the DNA draft it was announced that Iwasaki would join Ganbare☆Wrestling.
