Yuki Kikuta (菊田幸 Kikuta Yuki, born October 19, 1993), known under the ring-name La Estrella (ラ・エストレージャ Ra Esutorēja) (Spanish for "The Star"), is a Japanese luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler based in Mexico. He is best known for working for Dragon Gate (DG), where he is a former one-time Open The Triangle Gate Champion. He is the cousin of fellow wrestler Madoka Kikuta.
Professional Wrestling Career[]
Dragon Gate (2020–2022)[]
On December 2, 2020, Shun Skywalker announced the creation of his own stable with Dragon Dia, Kota Minoura, and Jason Lee, with a new member being announced on December 15. At the December 15 event, it was announced that the stable would be named "Masquerade", with the new member being revealed to be Kikuta, who'd be going under the name La Estrella. Shortly after Estrella made his wrestling debut facing former Open The Dream Gate Champion Susumu Yokosuka in a winning effort.
In January 2021, Masquerade entered a rivalry with the R.E.D stable. After working exclusively against each other in multi-man tag team matches for the last part of January, on January 31, Estrella and Lee took part of the Open the Twin Gate #1 Contender's One Night Tournament losing to the R.E.D duo of Diamante and Eita. On May 5 at Dead or Alive, Estrella, Dia and Lee defeated Natural Vibes (Genki Horiguchi, Kzy and Susumu Yokosuka) to win the Open The Triangle Gate Championship. They lost the titles to R.E.D (Eita, H.Y.O and Kaito Ishida) on September 20 at Dangerous Gate.
Over the following months, Skywalker's relationship with the rest of Masquerade began reaching the point of collapse, following the unmasking of Dragon Dia, despite Skywalker affirming to be fine. On January 12, 2022, Skywalker quit as the leader of the stable, deffecting to R.E.D, however on February 5, Masquerade was confirmed to be disbanded.
Excursion (2022–2023)[]
On June 4, it was announced that Estrella, alongside fellow roster member Takuma Fujiwara, would be sent to Mexico on a learning excursion in Mexico, as part of the Toryumon Casa project. The following months, La Estrella traveled to the United States to work with DG's partner promotion, most remarkably Major League Wrestling (MLW) for an extended stay. He also worked for various promotions in the American independent circuit.
Return to Dragon Gate (2023–Present)[]
On May 6, 2023, Dragon Gate announced that Estrella would make a one-time return to Dragon Gate. On May 11, in his return match, Estrella teamed with Dragon Dia in a winning effort against Kzy and Jason Lee. Shortly after, Estrella challenged Lee to a title match for Open The Brave Gate Championship, which he failed to win on May 21.
