The Memorial Gate in Wakayama 2016 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and GAORA TV event promoted by Dragon Gate. The event took place on March 21 2016, in Wakayama at the Wakayama Prefectural Gym and was the third event under the Memorial Gate in Wakayama.
The event featured 7 matches with three of Dragon Gate's sixth championships on the line. The main event saw Shingo Takagi defeating Ryo "Jimmy" Saito to retain the Open The Dream Gate Championship. All in all, the events featured no title changes.

On March 5 Naoki Tanizaki attacked Yosuke♥Santa Maria and challenged Maria for the Open The Brave Gate Championship and Maria accepted the challenge and the match was set to be at the Memorial Gate later that night MONSTER EXPRESS (Masato Yoshino, T-Hawk and Akira Tozawa) retained the Open The Triangle Gate Championship, after the match VerserK attacked them and Naruki Doi, YAMATO and Kotoka challenged Monster Express for the Open The Triangle Gate Champions and the match was set for Memorial Gate. On the next day Shingo Takagi won the Open The Dream Gate Championship after the match Takagi insulted Jimmy Susumu and Ryo "Jimmy" Saito attacked Takagi and challenged him for the Open The Dream Gate Champion.
