The New Blood Tag Team Championship (ニュー・ブラッド・タッグ王座 Nyū Buraddo Taggu Ōza) is a women's professional wrestling tag team championship owned by the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion and acts as a developmental championship in the "New Blood" branch of events .The titles were introduced on December 16, 2022, and the inaugural champions were crowned at Stardom New Blood Premium on March 25, 2023.
Title History[]
Despite first being mentioned in December 2022, the official design of the titles was revealed on March 7, 2023, during a press conference. They are inspired by the designs of New Japan Pro Wrestling's Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship, having the front larger plate and straps identically with them. On January 20, 2023, at New Blood 7, an eight-team tournament to crown the inaugural champions has begun. On March 25, at New Blood Premium, Unique Glare (Starlight Kid and KARMA) defeated God's Eye (MIRAI and Tomoka Inaba) in the tournament finals to become the first titleholders. On September 29, at New Blood 11, STARS ([[Hanan & Saya Idia) defeated Unique Glare to become the champions. On July 23, 2024, at Stardom Nighter In Korakuen, Oedo Tai/H.A.T.E. (Rina and Azusa Inaba) defeated STARS to become the champions. On December 26, at New Blood 17, Empress Nexus Venus(HANAKO & Waka Tsukiyama) defeated H.A.T.E. to become the champions.
