The New Sunrise and Reboot (2022) was a two-day professional wrestling event promoted by Pro Wrestling Noah (Noah). The shows took place on January 4 and 5, 2022 at the Koruaken Hall in Tokyo, Japan, with the first night being named New Sunrise and the second night being named Reboot. This was the third event under the New Sunrise and the second under the Reboot name.
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the event had some restrictions in attendance, following the declaration of the State of Emergency in Japan. The event will air live on AbemaTV online linear television service and CyberFight's streaming service Wrestle Universe in both English and Japanese commentaries.

Background[]
Since 2020, NOAH began annually producing shows on January 4 and 5 at the Korakuen Hall, coinciding with NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom, which were also held on both nights. In January 2021, NOAH promoted the New Sunrise on January 4, 2021 to coincide with first night of the NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 15 in Tokyo Dome. Since 2021, NOAH began broadcasting their events on AbemaTV online linear television service and CyberFight's streaming service Wrestle Universe in both English and Japanese commentaries.
On November 14, NOAH announced the third event under the New Sunrise and the return of Reboot, with both coinciding with the first nights of NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 16, with NOAH taking part of the third night of the event. It was announced the event would be broadcasted on AbemaTV and Wrestle Universe as a pay-per-view (PPV) in both English and Japanese commentaries.
Storylines[]
New Sunrise and Reboot (2022) featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

YO-HEY, who teamed with his Los Perros del Mal de Japón stablemate Kotaro Suzuki to challenge for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at New Sunrise.
The New Sunrise (2022) was main evented by Stinger (HAYATA and Yoshinari Ogawa) making their first title defense of the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship against Los Perros del Mal de Japón (Kotaro Suzuki and YO-HEY). On November 28 at Noah the Best, after Stinger (HAYATA and Yoshinari Ogawa) won the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, Momo no Seishun (Atsushi Kotoge and Daisuke Harada) and Los Perros del Mal de Japón (Kotaro Suzuki and YO-HEY) challenged HAYATA and Ogawa to title match. After Ogawa and HAYATA left the ring, Harada proposed a number one contenders match between at the first night of N-Innovation on December 25. On December 7, NOAH held a scramble match, where HAYATA teamed with his former partner YO-HEY and Yoshinari Ogawa with Daisuke Harada. During the match, Ogawa walk out on Harada, leading Harada to forcibly tag Ogawa, before starting attacking each other, leading HAYATA, Harada and YO-HEY taking advantage with YO-HEY pinned Ogawa. Afterwards, YO-HEY attacked HAYATA, before he was also attacked by Harada, who posed GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship belts and dropped one over Ogawa and one on HAYATA.

On December 25, YO-HEY and Suzuki defeated Harada and Kotoge to become the #1 contender to the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, setting up the title match at New Sunrise. During this time, HAYATA and Ogawa began feuding with each other, after Ogawa challenged HAYATA to a title match for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship, with usually Ogawa attacking HAYATA following their matches. On January 1, 2022 at NOAH The New Year, where HAYATA successfully defended his title against Ogawa. Following the match, HAYATA offered an handshake to Ogawa, but he refuse throwing his half of the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship to HAYATA.
