Pro Wrestling A-TEAM is an independent promotion founded by Tetsuhiro Kuroda and HASEGAWA on December 25, 2016. After the Apache Pro Wrestling Army last show Tetsuhiro Kuroda and HASEGAWA announced that a new promotion would be formed in order to replace the old Apache promotion. On February 25 HASEGAWA was announced as the General Manager and Tomohiko Hashimoto was named the representative of the promotion.

Formation[]
On October 2, 2016, after Koji Kanemoto defending the WEW Heavyweight Championship against Hi69, Tomohiko Hashimoto challenged for the belt, but it was decided that Kintaro Kanemura will be receiving the last title challenge following Apache's last show due to Kintaro Kanemura retiring. On December 25 during Apache's last show, it was announced that Kanemura was the last WEW Heavyweight Champions which he defeated Kanemoto to become the final champion. Also, it was announced that Tetsuhiro Kuroda and HASEGAWA announced that new promotion that will be formed in 2017. Which they dubbed as A-TEAM. Their first show is expected to be held on April 15 at the Kitasenju Theater 1010 in Tokyo. HASEGAWA stated that the WEW Heavyweight belt will be sealed with Kanemura as the final champion to hold the belt due to retiring from on its 27th anniversary of his pro-wrestling debut. Though the WEW Tag Team Championship will continue to be contested in the promotion.
On February 25, 2017, HASEGAWA was announced as the General Manager and Tomohiko Hashimoto was named the representative of the promotion and also was announced that Tatsuhito Takaiwa & Tetsuhiro Kuroda would be defending the WEW Tag Team Champions against Tomohiko Hashimoto & Masashi Takeda on the debut show on April 16 in Kita-Senju. On March 3 A-TEAM announced the creations of two more champions the WEW Openweight Championship and the WEW Junior Heavyweight Championship.
A-TEAM Take off[]
Was the first event promoted by Pro Wrestling A-TEAM and it featured appearances from various freelancers (Rion Mizuki, Keiichi Sato, Blue Shark, and Masashi Takeda), as well two wrestler from Dramatic Dream Team (Tomomitsu Matsunaga and Hoshitango), one wrestler from Pro Wrestling Freedoms (Jun Kasai). The event lasted one hour and twenty minutes. In the main event Tomohiko Hashimoto & Masashi Takeda defeated Tatsuhito Takaiwa & Tetsuhiro Kuroda to become the new WEW Tag Team Champions.

2017[]
A-TEAM began running regular tours right after the Take Off; the first tour ran until May 21 and the second from August 11. A-TEAM introduce thier championships the WEW Openweight and WEW Junior Heavyweight Championships and the junior was set to be crown in the second tour.
