Real (レアル Rearu), is a professional wrestling stable primarily appearing in the Japanese promotion Pro Wrestling NOAH (NOAH).
The group was formed by Hideki Suzuki, Saxon Huxley and Timothy Thatcher on April 22, 2023, following their departure from Sugiura-gun, which they subsequently named "Real", with Suzuki being appointed the leader of the stable. Huxley and Thatcher quickly brought the GHC Tag Team Championship to the stable and they shortly after added Shuhei Taniguchi to the stable. The stable was disbanded in March 2024.
History[]
On April 16, 2023, at Green Journey in Sendai, Saxon Huxley and Timothy Thatcher began teaming with each other, and the two developed a good chemistry with one another. Later that night, Hideki Suzuki on the behalf of Huxley and Thatcher challenged Shuhei Taniguchi and Takashi Sugiura to a title match for the GHC Tag Team Championship. After the relationship between Sugiura-gun members had just fizzled out over the previous months, Suzuki stated that Sugiura-gun wasn't working and was over, leading Sugiura to confirm that the stable had disbanded. On April 22, their stable was named "Real". On May 4 at Majestic, Huxley and Thatcher defeated Sugiura and Taniguchi to win the GHC Tag Team Championship. On June 17 at Green Journey in Nagoya, Suzuki defeated Shuhei Taniguchi. Afterwards, Suzuki grabbed a Real t-shirt, looked to be putting it on, but then handed it to Taniguchi, who snatched it from him, and then put it on, signifying that he had joined the stable. In August, both Thatcher and Huxley took part in the 2023 N-1 Victory, wrestling in seperate round-robin blocks. Both were left behind in the final standings, after failing to win their respective blocks. On September 24 at Grand Ship In Nagoya, Thatcher and Huxley lost the GHC Tag Team Championship to Good Looking Guys (Jack Morris and Anthony Greene). In December, Suzuki left the stable, after he began working exclusively in All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW).
From February 24 to March 10, 2024, Huxley and Thatcher took part in the 2024 Victory Challenge Tag League, where they finished the tournament with a record of five wins and two losses, advancing to the finals of the tournament. On March 10, they were defeated in the finals of the tournament by Kaito Kiyomiya and Ryohei Oiwa. However on March 17, it was announced that Kiyomiya, was forced to withdraw from the title match for the GHC Tag Team Championship due to a spinal cord concussion sustained during training, leading Huxley and Thatcher, who finished as the Victory Challenge Tag League runners-up to replace them. At the title match, at Great Voyage in Yokohama, Huxley and Thatcher unsucessfully challenged Jack Morris and Anthony Greene for the GHC Tag Team Championship. This marked the last appearance of the stable, as Huxley and Thatcher stopped working in NOAH.
