Scandal Gate 2014 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and GAORA TV event promoted by Dragon Gate. The event took place on August 5 at the Korakuen Hall and it was the first event under the Scandal Gate name.

The main event was a four-on-one Handicap macth for the Open The Dream Gate Championship between Mad Blankey and BxB Hulk.

Background[]

Scandal Gate 2014 featured professional wrestling matches that involved wrestlers from pre-existing feuds and storylines that played out on the Dragon Gate's television program. Wrestlers portrayed heroes or villains as they followed a series of events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.

Event[]

The first match featured a six-man tag team match between We Are Team Veteran (Dragon Kid, Gamma and Masaaki Mochizuki) and Jimmyz (Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!, Jimmy Kanda and Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin) were We Are Team Veteran were the winners. The second match featured a tag team match between Don Fujii and Ryotsu Shimizu and Yosuke♥Santa Maria and Yuga Hayashi were Fujii and Shimizu were the winners. After the second match Tanizaki attacked Maria and declared himself #1 Contender for the Open The Brave Gate Championship in Flamita's absence. The third match featured a six-man tag team match between Jimmyz (Jimmy Susumu and Jimmy Kagetora) and Kotoka defeated We Are Team Veteran (K-ness, Kenichiro Arai) and Shachihoko BOY were Jimmyz and Kotoka won. The forth match between Monster Express (Shingo Takagi and Akira Tozawa) and Mad Blankey (Punch Tominaga and YAMATO) ended in a disqualification. After the match Tominaga started a feud with CIMA due to the the match that he lost to Kotoka that the loser hould have a punch perm haircut and that was CIMA idea and but agreed to a No disqualification on August 17 and CIMA attacked Tominaga. The fifth match was a tag team match between Millennials (Eita and T-Hawk) and Monster Express (Masato Yoshino and Uhaa Nation) were Millennials won. The sixth match or the main event was a Four-on-One Handicap elimination match for the Open The Dream Gate Championship between Mad Blankey (Cyber Kong, Kzy, Mondai Ryu and Naruki Doi) against BxB Hulk. Hulk manage to defeated Ryu, Kong but ended up bein eliminated by Doi. Since Doi pinned Hulk Doi was named the provisional champion. Masaaki Mochizuki and the General Manager Takayuki Yagi agreed that the title would not change hands under these conditions. Thus Doi wasn't regonized as the 21st champion in the history of the title. The champion would be regonized on August 17.
