The Gate of Origin (2021) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and GAORA TV event promoted by Dragon Gate (DG). The event took place on November 27, 2021, in Sendai at the Sendai Sun Plaza Hall. Previously held under the Memorial Gate in Sendai name, this marks the fourth show under The Gate of Origin name. The event aired on GAORA and Dragon Gate Network streaming service.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event had some restrictions in the attendance, after the Japanese Government lifted the State of Emergency.

The Gate of Origin (2021) aired in Japan through Dragon Gate's internet streaming site, Niconico, with Japanese language commentaries. The Japanese commentary was provided by Katsuya Ichikawa. The event also aired on tape delay on Japanese TV Gaora Sports to be launched in Dragon Gate's ~ Infinity ~ Series. This would mark Dragon Gate's second September Sendai Sun Plaza Hall show under its new name. The previous event was held under the name Memorial Gate in Sendai name. The event will air worldwide on Dragon Gate's internet streaming site, Dragon Gate Network. On August 24, it was announced the full card of the event.

The Gate of Origin (2021) featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portrayed villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.

YAMATO, who defended the Open The Dream Gate Championship against Ben-K in the main event
The event was main evented by YAMATO) defending the Open The Dream Gate Championship against High-End stablemate Ben-K. On November 5, High-End stablemates, Ben-K and YAMATO faced each other in a tag team match, with Ben-K teaming with Dragon Kid and YAMATO with Kagetora. After Ben-K picked up the win for his team, he challenged YAMATO to a title match for the Open The Dream Gate Championship at Gate of Origin, which he accepted.
On November 5, Naruki Doi and Takashi Yoshida defeated Natural Vibes (King Shimizu and Jacky "Funky" Kamei) and Masaaki Mochizuki and Shuji Kondo in a three-way tag team match, with Yoshida pinning Shimizu. Afterwards, Doi and Yoshida formed a new version of DoiYoshi, which was composed by Doi and Masato Yoshino, challenging Shimizu and his Natural Vibes stablemate to a title match for the Open The Twin Gate Championship.
