The Gate of Origin (2024) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and GAORA TV event promoted by Dragon Gate (DG). The event took place on September 16, 2024, in Sendai at the Sendai Sun Plaza Hall. Previously held under the Memorial Gate in Sendai name, this marks the fifth show under The Gate of Origin name. The event aired on GAORA and Dragon Gate Network streaming service.

The Gate of Origin (2024) aired in Japan through Dragon Gate's internet streaming site, Niconico, with Japanese language commentaries. The Japanese commentary was provided by Katsuya Ichikawa. The event also aired on tape delay on Japanese TV Gaora Sports to be launched in Dragon Gate's ~ Infinity ~ Series. This would mark Dragon Gate's second September Sendai Sun Plaza Hall show under its new name. The previous event was held under the name Memorial Gate in Sendai name. The event aired worldwide on Dragon Gate's internet streaming site, Dragon Gate Network.
Storylines[]
The Gate of Origin (2024) featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portrayed villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.
On September 5, Jacky Kamei challenged Dragon Dia for the Open The Brave Gate Championship at Gate of Origin, which Dia accepted. The title match was announced the following day.
On May 9, Minorita returned from his nine-month injury layoff by challenging Gianni Valletta to be his opponent in his return match, which was subsquently made official by Dragon Gate's General Manager Ryo Saito. However the match was changed to a tag team match, and shortly after, his Gold Class stablemate Kota Minoura turned on him to join Z-Brats, leading him to rename himself to Riiita. On September 5, Valletta interfered in a match that Riiita was taking part in, attacking him, causing a no contest, setting up a match between them at Gate of Origin.
On September 7, after Natural Vibes (Big Boss Shimizu, Strong Machine J and U-T) successfully defended the Open The Triangle Gate Championship, Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii and Toru Owashi challenged them to a title match at Gate of Origin, which they accepted.
