Total Eclipse was an professional wrestling stable in the Japanese promotion All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW).

The group was founded on March 8, 2021, by Jake Lee, Yusuke Kodama, Kuma Arashi, Hokuto Omori, Koji Doi and TAJIRI, following Lee's addition to Enfants Terribles, due to the departure of the stable's previous leader Shotaro Ashino.

The stable marked a major turning point for the career of Lee, a longtime fan favorite, who began his ascent into the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship picture. This led to in May, Lee winning AJPW's premier tournament, the Champion Carnival and later the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship.

Background[]

In April 2020, following the closure of Wrestle-1, Shotaro Ashino brought the villanous stable Enfants Terribles to All Japan Pro Wrestling, with the addtion of Hokuto Omori and Wrestle-1 alumni Koji Doi. However, the shortcomings of the stable, mainly due to Ashino unsuccesfully challenging Suwama for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, led to a disagreement between Ashino and Omori, who began to question Ashino's leadership.

Formation[]

On February 23, 2021, Ashino was kicked out of Enfants Terribles and replaced by Jake Lee, who had recently disbanded Jin to join the stable, leading to a feud with Evolution, following Ashino's addition to the stable by Suwama. This was followed by TAJIRI's addition to the stable on March 8, with the stable being renamed to "Total Eclipse".

From April 9 to May 3, Doi and Lee took part in the 2021 Champion Carnival. Doi finished bottom of the tournament, while Lee won the tournament, after finishing it with a record of six wins and three losses, defeating his rival Kento Miyahara on May 3 at the final day. On June 26, TAJIRI, Kodama and Omori defeated Takao Omori, Black Menso ~ Re and Carbell Ito to win the AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Championship. In the main event, Lee defeated Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi in a Tomoe Battle to win the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, after pinning both Miyahara and Aoyagi in each falls. On July 22, TAJIRI, Kodama and Omori lost the AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Championship to Yoshitatsu, Seigo Tachibana, and Carbell Ito. On December 26, Kodama and Omori won the 2021 Jr. Tag Battle of Glory, defeating Hikaru Sato and Dan Tamura in the finals. On December 28, Lee would be forced to vacate the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship after suffering from a broken and broken left orbital bone. On January 2, 2022, Kodama and Omori defeated T-Hawk and El Lindaman to win All Asia Tag Team Championship. In April, two members of Total Eclipse took part in the 2022 Champion Carnival, with Lee and Arashi wrestling in separate round-robin blocks. Arashi finished the tournament with a record of one wins and four losses, failling to advance to the finals of the tournament. Meanwhile, Lee advanced to the finals, after winning his block with a record of four wins and one loss. On May 4, Lee was defeated by Yuma Aoyagi in the finals. In May 2022, TAJIRI and Honda would later leave the stable to form a unit with Shotaro Ashino and Seigo Tachibana. On June 20, Lee defeated Kento Miyahara to win the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship for the second time. On July 14, Omori and Kodama lost the All Asia Tag Team Championship to Minoru and Toshizo. Later that night, Lee lost the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship to Suwama, following the interference from Minoru and Toshizo. On July 18, Kodama left Total Eclipse to align with Ryuki Honda and Ashino turning face in the process. On August 11 Lee participated at the 2022 Ōdō Tournament where he Dan Tamura in the first round and later lost to Yuji Nagata on August 14.

On September 19, Lee announced the stable would disband with him later announcing his departure from the promotion on December 7, with his contract expiring at end of 2022.
