Wrestle Universe is a subscription-based video streaming service owned by CyberFight a subsidiary of CyberAgent. In October 2016, DDT Pro Wrestling announced a new streaming service, the "DDT Universe" for events held by DDT, BASARA, Tokyo Joshi Pro, and GanbareāPuroresu.[1] The service launched on January 23, 2017.[2] All major brands events air live on the service, which also features matches from the promotion's archives, dating back to 2004. It presents live broadcasts as well as archived shows from throughout its history and many spin-offs.
Following CyberAgent's acquisition of Pro Wrestling NOAH in January 2020, DDT Universe started featuring Noah's being streamed in the streaming service, starting with the finals of the 2020 Global Junior League. Shortly after, on May 12, the service was renamed Wrestle Universe following the inclusion of NOAH and other DDT sub-brands including BOYZ and other wrestling promotions like Rojo Pro-Wrestling and Gatoh Move. On September 16, 2021, CyberFight announced the service would migrate to new platform with the new platform be launched on October 1, 2021. On February 3, 2022, CyberFight announced the acquisition of the rights to air Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) shows on the service.
The service has a current monthly subscription price of Ā„900.[3] As of January 2017, subscription numbers are 19.981 subscribers. The first calendar month of a subscription is free, with payments made 30 days after the users original sign-up date.
