Professional Wrestling Career[]
Dragon Gate[]
Early Career (2021–2023)[]
After a long series of exhibitions bouts against other people in his class (known as Dragon Gate Future), he made his official debut facing Madoka Kikuta in a losing effort on December 6, 2022. As is customary for most professional wrestlers, Yoshiki spent most of his matches losing to other, more experienced wrestlers, which would help put over other wrestlers while at the same time give him some in-ring experience. On December 25 at Final Gate, Kato won his first professional wrestling match, teaming with fellow rookie Kaito Nagano in a winning effort against Mondai Ryu and Takashi Yoshida. In February 2023, Kato and Nagano took part in the 2023 Rey de Parejas, finishing the tournament with a record of one win and three losses, failing to advance to the semifinals of the tournament. Shortly after, he was sidelined with an eye injury, forcing him four months out of action. Upon his return on October 6, Kato proclaimed that T.N.Revolución was false and requested Dragon Gate General Manager's Ryo Saito a singles match series to prove himself the worthier man. Saito accepted his request and arranged him a five match trial series with former Open The Dream Gate Champions and contenders to the title for Kato to test himself in. He would finish the trial series winless losing all of his matches to Big Boss Shimizu, YAMATO, Shun Skywalker, Ben-K and Masaaki Mochizuki, respectively.
Heel turn (2023–Present)[]
Following his trial series, Kato asked Masaaki Mochizuki if he could start teaming with his son Mochizuki Junior, not as a member of M3K, but for the sake of drawing out his own potential as teaming with Junior would help him achieve that goal, which he accepted. On October 23, Kato and Junior won their first match as a team, facing Daiki Yanagiuchi and Ryoya Tanaka in a winning effort. On November 4 at Power Struggle, Kato and Junior made their debut in NJPW as part of the "Frontier Zone", teaming with Strong Machine J in a losing effort to Oleg Boltin, Ryusuke Taguchi and The DKC. The following day at Gate of Destiny, Kato turned on Junior to join Z-Brats, turning heel for the first time of his career. Four days later, Kato faced Junior's father Masaaki Mochizuki. Kato won the match by disqualification, after he was continuously being hit by Masaaki. On December 10, Yoshiki Kato lost to YAMATO by disqualification, after Z-Brats interfered in the contest. Afterwards, Kato, KAI and ISHIN challenged YAMATO, Dragon Kid and Punch Tominaga to a title match for the Open The Triangle Gate Championship, with Dragon Gate's General Manager Ryo Saito making the match official. On December 24 at Final Gate, Kato, KAI and ISHIN defeated YAMATO, Kid and Tominaga to win the Open The Triangle Gate Championship, winning his first professional wrestling title. They vacated the titles on February 24, 2024, after Kato was sidelined with a right knee injury.
He made his return from injury on December 3, in a new heavier physique, teaming with Z-Brats stablemates KAI, Jason Lee, Homare and ISHIN in a winning effort against YAMATO, BxB Hulk, Susumu Yokosuka, Kagetora and Daiki Yanagiuchi. Afterwards, he declared a challenged for the Open The Triangle Gate Championship, a title that he vacated due to an injury. This led to a match for the vacant titles on December 15 at Final Gate, where he ISHIN and KAI) failed to win. On January 19, 2025, Kato defeated Mochizuki Junior in the finals to win the 2025 Young Dragon Cup. Afterwards, Kato challenged Mochizuki Dojo to a Captain’s Fall Elimination match, where he would captain his team and If Mochizuki Dojo lost, they would have been forced to disband. On January 25 at Gate of Bayside, Z-Brats were defeated Mochizuki Dojo, with Kato being pinned by Masaaki Mochizuki. On June 4, Kato, Homare and ISHIN defeated Kzy, Flamita and Strong Machine J to win the Open The Triangle Gate Championship.
